Parks

Since Maris was born I have spent more time in parks than the prior 28 years of my life. We visit the parks in Louisville all the time, and state parks have been destinations for family trips more than a few times, but on our last few trips we stopped by local city parks as stops between our destinations. Somewhere to stretch our legs, enjoy the air, and enjoy being outside sometimes alone and sometimes with other friendly park visitors. These small parks are a gift to their communities, and all of us. Sometimes over looked, but appreciated by many. All of them are different, and I’m thankful that parks exist in their many shapes and sizes from a little local park up to the national. I hope we always support and protect these spaces.
